Casa Haase y Warren is an EF Block home.  EF blocks are  Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) made from recycled materials.  ICF homes are durable and provide insulation which is important in all seasons.  ICF homes are quieter and have much better acoustics than traditional block homes.
